FSRS (Free Spaced Repetition Scheduler) is the algorithm that decides when to show each card again. It's the modern evolution of SuperMemo / Anki: more accurate, based on open models that learn your personal forgetting curve. At each review, you rate your confidence (Again / Hard / Good / Easy). FSRS recomputes your memory stability for that card and schedules the next due date — usually a few days, then weeks, then months. The idea: you review right before forgetting, never when it's still fresh. You can tune your target retention rate (between 70% and 95%) from your profile. 90% is the default — a good balance between workload and long-term retention.

The path follows the six official TOPIK levels (Test of Proficiency in Korean): • N1 — Beginner: hangeul alphabet, first sentences, greetings • N2 — Elementary: basic grammar, everyday vocab (~800 words) • N3 — Lower-intermediate: complex structures, opinions • N4 — Upper-intermediate: nuance, registers, technical vocab • N5 — Advanced: media, professional contexts, idioms • N6 — Mastery: literary nuance, formal registers, abstract topics Each level has ~12-16 modules, each module ~6-8 lessons. Levels unlock in order — N+1 stays locked until you've finished N. Aligned with linear pedagogy from Qualiopi descriptors.

During a review session or in the lesson runner, you'll see a bookmark icon at the top of the card. Click it, then "Mark as mastered". The item immediately leaves the FSRS cycle — you won't see it in reviews again, ever. Useful for words you already know perfectly (e.g., if you have some Korean basics but don't want to restart from zero). It's reversible: from your profile, you can put a mastered item back into rotation to refresh it.

Packs are your own vocab collections — by theme, show, project: "K-pop slang", "Squid Game vocab", "Trip to Seoul"… Add words from your review session or the Vocabulary page (bookmark icon → pick a pack). You can then review a pack's content in isolation, in its own FSRS order. Important: FSRS stays shared — a word reviewed in a pack also progresses in your global vocabulary. Packs are a filter, not a parallel state.

Soa (소아, "early childhood") is a conversational AI trained to practice Korean in real context. You can chat about any topic; it adapts its register to your level and corrects grammar mistakes with explanations. Available on Premium+ only. Generous daily token limit — no need to count messages day-to-day.
